Application Part 1, Toulouse Graduate School application:

Step 1: Application form: Required
Complete the UNT Graduate Application via the Toulouse Graduate School via ApplyTexas. Designate Audiology as your intended major field.

Step 2: Graduate Record Examination (General Test): Required
All applicants are required to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) — Verbal, Quantitative, and Analytical Writing subtests — and to report all their GRE scores to UNT--Denton (ETS Code 6481).

We recommend you begin taking the GRE during the summer the year before you intend to apply. This will provide you with ample time to retake the exam if you choose to do so, however we do take your highest score into account. If you take the GRE multiple times, we will take your scores from when your combined subject scores were the highest. We consider any scores above the 50th percentile to be competitive. Percentile ranks and their corresponding numeric scores can be located on the ETS website:

Step 3: Official Transcripts: Required
Please arrange for all official transcripts (both undergraduate and graduate transcripts, including community college transcripts) to be sent electronically or mailed directly to:

Toulouse Graduate School
University of North Texas
1155 Union Circle # 305459
Denton, TX 76203-5017

Please do not send transcripts directly to the Department. They must be received by the Graduate School for proper processing.

Application Part 2, Departmental application components:

Our department requires the submission of three letters of recommendation and a personal statement.
Please see below for instructions and links to submit these elements:

Departmental Component #1- Letters of Recommendation

Three recommendations are required for submission to the ASLP department using the link below. It is preferred that these recommendations be written and sent by individuals who are familiar with your academic background and who can attest to your aptitude for challenging graduate level academic work. The number of recommendations from individuals outside of academia (e.g. employers, community leaders) should be kept to a minimum, and they may be weighted differently based on their relevance to academic-specific information. It is recommended that students request letters of recommendation from at least two faculty members from their undergraduate program.

You will need to fill out the information requested through the link below to request recommendations. Each of your recommenders will receive the instructions he or she needs to submit a letter of recommendation in support of your graduate application.  The ASLP graduate admissions office will send these instructions to the e-mail address that the applicant provides to UNT; please verify the accuracy of each recommender's e-mail address before you send the recommender's contact information to UNT using the link below. It is your responsibility to confirm if your recommenders completed and submitted the form prior to the deadline. You may check the status by logging on to the MyUNT portal ( and reviewing your application checklist. Checklists will begin updating about November 1.
